The ij.start.canon/ts8220 printer comes well packed in the carton.

Cut the tape on top of the carton using scissors.

Take the printer and all the resource materials out of the box.

Discard all the packing materials inside and outside the box.

The power cable is supplied along with the printer.

It is recommended to use only this cable to connect the printer to a wall socket for establishing the power connection.

Pull the input tray from the printer and place enough paper on it.

Set the paper width guides at the edges of the paper.

The printer has holders for six ink cartridges. Put the ink cartridges into their appropriate holders.

The color on the label of the cartridge should match with that on the cartridge slot.

After aligning the cartridges, the printer prints an alignment page.

Now, proceed to install the Canon Pixma TS8220 driver using the installation CD or by downloading it.

After finishing the connection setup, turn on your printer by pressing the Power button.

The next step is to do the initial setup process.

Press the Copy icon at the home screen of the printer.

Choose the Standard Copy option from the list of options.

Now you have to place the document to be copied on the scanner glass.

To do so, lift the scanner lid, place the document on the glass, and close it.

Do the necessary settings such as copy layout, the number of copies, print setting item, page size, and the media types in the Specify Setting page.

If you need a color copy, tap Color. Similarly, if you need a copy in black & white, select the Black & White option.

Take the original copy from the scanner glass once the process is done. Check the copy quality.

Follow the steps given here to connect your printer to the computer through a wireless connection.

Tap the Wireless icon and select Yes in the next screen.

Turn on your computer and double-click the downloaded file.

Tap Start Setup option in the Start Setup screen.

Select Next and choose your region/country in the succeeding screen.

Agree to the Agreement of License and choose Yes in the Check the Connection Method window.

Select a wireless network of your choice and specify the network key on the next window that opens.

Wait patiently till the network connection is set up.

Choose the list of optional software to be installed and tap Next.

Once the installation is over, click the Exit button in the Installation Completed Successfully screen.
