Don’t enter the village Egmond-Binnen, but follow the roundabout On the left, about 200 meter outside the village, you’ll find the drive to the monastery.
And please watch out - there are 3 villages called Egmond very near each other:
- aan Zee
- aan den Hoef
- Binnen
Lioba is just north of Egmond-Binnen and can easily be found on the road Herenweg.
directions by public transport:
TRAINS FROM ALKMAAR TO CASTRICUM LEAVE EVERY 10 MINUTES AND ONLY TAKE 10 MINUTES TO ARRIVE IN CASTRICUM.
Take a train direction Alkmaar and step out at Castricum. You can take a taxi from the train station to the monastery. It will generally cost around 15 - 20 euros. You cold also take a bus from the station to the monastery.DURING THE CORONA TIMES THIS IS NOT A GOOD OPTION!

Egmond-Binnen is not far from the city of Alkmaar north-west of Amsterdam and the monastery is 200 meters outside the village.
Lioba is on the right next to the dunes halfway between 'weg naar de Bleek' and 'Oude Schulpweg'.
