Patrick Weber RN, MA, FIAHSI, Honorary Fellow GBHI is the director of Nice Computing SA since 1991 after 15 years in the position of nurse head nurse and director of nursing in hospitals. Nice Computing SA is the leader in Switzerland in the quality control of the medical coding (ICD10 and Interventions CHOP) and DRGs. This is an official activity resulting in a report addressed at the government and the insurers. We are also expert in the dissemination of the assessment tool coming from Germany (EPA-AC) together with NANDA I and the Swiss workload measurement system (LEP). We are providing administration for the European Federation of Medical Informatics (EFMI) and assuming the Legal Entity for a European funded project called CrowdHealth 2017 – 2019 and a second one FAIR4Health 2019 - 2021.

I served in numerous leadership roles in EFMI such as: Treasurer, Vice president, President and Past President and as the VP and President (1999-2017) of EFMI NI (Nursing Informatics). In IMIA (International Medical Informatics Association) , I served as Vice President for Europe and Vice President for Medinfo 2019. Now I’m the IMIA liaison Officer at WHO. I also served Vice Chair for Communication, Administration and Finance for IMIA NI-SIG. I was the Chair of NI2016 international conference. I’m also president of Olivier Moeschler foundation dealing with medical emergencies before hospital admission I’m collaborating with ASI (Swiss Nursing Association) National Working Group Nursing Informatics and I’m currently the secretary for the SGMC SSCM (Swiss Coding Clerk Association). I’m also a member of the Lions club Gros-de-Vaud.

My leadership role in informatics has fostered innovation and development of nursing applications. I have influenced policy, disseminates knowledge, and initiated numerous research and practice collaborations across several professional organizations while also making sure nursing had a seat at the table. I’m an ambassador for nursing informatics throughout the world.
