Community Assistance

Community Donations

Following our September meeting, donations were given to two local support groups. Below are the grateful responses we received.

Dear Alison and Carol,

It was a lovely surprise to receive your call Alison. I was in the company of five other Community Cancer Link friends at The Tops on our 'stitch'n'bitch 3 day retreat. Great excitement! We are very grateful to IQ for the opportunity to present our cause and to IQ members for voting CCL to receive $1000. As advised these funds will assist our 'Care Packages' program for families as they tend to their loved family member at end stage of life. CCL do provide a very special service.

Please pass on our thanks for this grant and for the continuing support received from Illawarra Quilters over many years with quilt donations and raffles.

With kind regards

Helen Stavely

Hi Alison

Thank you again for putting Women Illawarra forward to the Illawarra Quilters as your recipient of choice- the $1000 is an amazing donation and we're very grateful to you.

Also, thank you for the beautiful quilt that you have given us. It is stunning! I will make sure that it goes to someone who needs something a bit special in their life.

Warmest regards

Anne
