Hello, welcome back to all of you as we begin a new academic semester. Enclosed are some items of immediate interest.
1. Retroactive pay – At the Labor Management Council meeting yesterday, the administration stated that February is the targeted month for the payment of retroactive pay as stated in the contract.
2. Full-time faculty pay – Full-time faculty have been moved a full step on the salary grid as stated in the contract. If any of you have a question about your gross pay as indicated on your pay stub for January 15, please contact Mike Shaw. I have met with Mike, and he is ready with a full explanation for any faculty member who has a specific question.
3. Further communication/explanation – Mike Shaw/Payroll Department will send out an email early next week with a full explanation and a specific example of how faculty pay was calculated at the new step levels.
Our college Payroll Department continues to face the challenge of making the Banner payroll system operational for our unique Black Hawk situations. The Payroll Department and Mike Shaw are working diligently to assure accuracy and expediency in the processing of our paychecks. I will make every effort to keep you posted as additional information becomes available.
