Inland Empire Regional Science Olympiad Registration

Division A (grades 3-6); Divisions B (grades 6-9); Division C (grades 9-12)

Thank you for your interest in the 2022-2023 Inland Empire Regional Science Olympiad season. In order to compete at your Regional Tournament, the following requirements must be met:

1. Register Online (see below for registration instructions).

• • Deadline is December 16, 2022..

  • There will be no refunds after this date. Therefore, if you plan to cancel your participation, please do so before this date.

  • Payment for your teams must be received by February 25, 2023 in order to participate on the day of the tournament.

2. Pay required registration fees (see fee structures and payment instructions below)

• • Only checks will be accepted. NO POs.

3. Principal verification of head coach (email will be sent out after team registration)

4. Provide Certificate of Liability Insurance (go to the Certificate of Liability Insurance page for submission instructions).

• • Ask your district's risk management to help you fill out the form.

5. Complete the following required Registration Documents and bring them on the day of the tournament. (They will be made available closer to the tournament date.)

• • Minor and Adult Photo and Video Release

  • Minor and Adult General Release of All Claims

  • Division A Roster of Participating Students OR

  • Division B Roster of Participating Students OR

  • Division C Roster of Participating Students

  • Code of Ethics

Go to the 2023 Southern California Science Olympiad website by clicking on http://www.socalscioly.org/?tab=registration. Register your teams by clicking on the Register Now button. You may check to see if you are registered by clicking on the Pay Dues/View Registration Status.

Membership Fees

Participation in the Inland Empire Science Olympiad includes membership in the National and State Science Olympiads and is required. Fees cover the cost of the development of the events, tournament medals, team trophies and plaques, insurance, event materials, and the infrastructure requirements of the events and host venue. Teams may not participate in this regional tournament without membership in the state and national organizations. The fees must be received by February 25, 2023 in order to participate in the tournament. You will not be provided with a team number until fees have been received.

Junior and Senior Divisions (B & C) $325.00

Elementary Division (A) $200.00*

*Special Note for Division A: The Inland Empire Science Olympiad will not be handling the Elementary Olympiad Coaches Manual. The manual is the same as it has been the past several years. If you want a new Elementary Olympiad Coaches Manual, you can purchase one at the National Science Olympiad Store. Any rules not found in the Coaches Manual will be posted in Documents & Forms.

Do not forget to include your School Name, number of teams, and Division on the check. For example, IERSO Middle School, 2 teams, Division B.

If you need an Invoice, it should have been emailed to you once you have registered your teams.

• the identity of the head coach is confirmed by the principal

• payment is received and cleared through the bank

• certificate of insurance is received
