Second "Building a Portfolio" Session

Post date: Nov 1, 2010 9:11:51 PM

The second Building a Portfolio session: Monday evening, 11/1. This is the blurb from the 2.009 announcement:

A portfolio is essential for anyone pursuing design work beyond 2.009. This one hour seminar will give you the basics about developing your portfolio — a visual representation of your design and engineering work that complements the words in your resume. We'll talk about why you should start thinking about it now and what you can do to start documentation habits, especially in the midst of your 2.009 work.

If you attended the first offering, you're welcome to come on Monday. We will have two different guests: Rebecca Smith (D-Lab) is a 2.009 alumna (MIT '09) who will share from her experiences creating a design portfolio from projects primarily within Course 2. Doug Marsden and Ben Beck are designers at Eleven who will join the discussion to provide insight from the perspective of reviewing job applicants' portfolios.
