Nita Patel was a member of a World Championship Senior Team and has been actively sharing her passion for synchronized skating through her coaching endeavours in Canada for many years. As a coach, Nita has attained CEP Gold Status, and is NCCP Level 3 certified with multiple Level 4 tasks completed. Nita has coached the Mississauga Figure Skating Club's Ice Precise Adult Synchronized Skating Teams since 2002. She has helped to grow the Ice Precise organization from one team to currently 3 successful teams. Prior to working with Ice Precise, Nita also coached the Mississauga Motion Teams (Pre-Novice, Novice, Intermediate, Open and Junior) as well as at various Synchronized Skating programs within Skate Canada.
Her past skating experience includes Skate Canada Gold Test status in Figures, Free Skate, Dance, Artistic, Skills, all Diamond dances, Bronze Variation dances, numerous medals at the Skate Canada National Synchronized skating championships (Novice, Junior, Senior), 1997 Senior ISU World Champion. Nita also has a degree in Kinesiology (McMaster University). She currently works as a public school teacher. All of these experiences allow her to approach coaching from a unique perspective as she appreciates all aspects of the role.
Nita enjoys consulting with various Synchronized skating teams across the country as she loves to share her passion, knowledge, and experience in this amazing sport.

Ice Precise is proud to announce that our coach, Nita Patel, has been selected by Skate Canada to participate in the Skate Canada 2015 National Coach Apprenticeship Program offered in conjunction with the 2015 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Hamilton, Ontario!
The NCAP will feature a variety of presentations led by world-level coaches, ISU representatives, and sport science professionals. In addition to observing official practices and events, the program will feature information on effective competition planning (pre-comp, comp, and post-comp), tips for preparing well-rounded teams both mentally and physically, CPC strategies and tactics with Skate Canada Technical Specialists, and much more.
