For my English component, I decided to keep a journal recording my thoughts and feelings on my project.November 10, 2013: I have just attempted my project for the first time. Before I tried it for myself, I thought it would be easy to decide that wood would melt the ice the fastest because it was warmer than the aluminum block. After I tried I was amazed at the fact that the aluminum block melted the ice faster. Now that I know the concept of how the aluminum has more heat capacity than the wood I can never underestimate physics.
November 20, 2013: Today we presented our project we presented our projects at the George R. Brown Convention Center where I presented my project to other schools. I started to get really familiar with my project which gave me the confidence to present it to even more people.
February 1st, 2014: Today was the school's second annual STEM Festival where I presented my project to parents, teachers, and students, I had fun interacting with everyone, and how they assumed that the wooden block would melt the ice the faster than the aluminum block, but was astonished when it was the complete opposite. Overall I enjoy myself and everyone that came to see my project.
February 19, 2014: Today I recorded my video and I had to memorize a script that I had to do for my PBL. I kept messing up, because I was so nervous. After a few takes I was able to pull myself together and was able to make the video a success.
February 25, 2014: For my project I needed to create a brochure and to complete that I had to use word document. In my brochure I talked and explained my project, how it is use, and the main purpose of the experiment. 30 minutes later I finished it and upload it to my website for everyone to see.
February 27, 2014: Now it's time to put my video together and upload it up on YouTube for everyone to see it was very difficult because there was a lot work done and put into the video that it took me longer than usual. Two hours later I completed the video and upload it up to my YouTube page to show publicly.
