On Wednesday 24th of August early morning a strong Earthquake hit Italy and struck small towns and villages in the mountainous area where the regions of
Umbria, Lazio and Le Marche meet.
The worst affected towns are Amatrice, Arquata, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto. At least 292 people have been found dead, many injured and many houses,

In addition, the ESOC Italian Culture Club, in collaboration with Sodexo, has launched the initiative to include a special dish in the Friday
the 2nd of September menu, at the ESOC Canteen, called "Spaghetti all'Amatriciana" (see picure below).
It is a wide-spread and typical pasta dish coming exactly from one of the little towns - Amatrice - hit by the earthquake.
The special dish, prepared by Lino, will be served with an overprice of 1 Euro to be collected for the Earthquake Fund.
The money collected will be sent to the ESA Human Relief Fund "Earthquake in Italy"
Please help supporting the initiative.
If successful the special dish "Spaghetti all'Amatriciana" might be served again later, in the second half of September.
Thank you & Kind regards
