PhD student at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE),
Université catolique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium

I'm a PhD student on applied mathematics (operations research) at CORE UCL, working under the supervision of Professor Anthony Papavasiliou. Our current research is focus on evaluating the impact of renewable energy integration on the European electricity markets, by using very detailed models and the power of high performance computing. My research interests include energy optimization, renewable energy integration in power systems, stochastic and robust programming, and distributed optimization.

Formerly, I completed the bachelor and master degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Univerisdad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM), located in Valparaíso, Chile, where later I served as research assistant and lecturer. My research work at UTFSM was guided by Professor Esteban Gil.

I have also worked as an optimization specialist at ENDESA Chile and spent a summer as an intern at the Planning Division of Transelec.
