The Point System is based upon the number of players per round. The last place person will always receive 25 points and then it will be divided by the number of players that day. The total number of players per day will be multiplied by 25 to determine the maximum number of points that round. Therefore, if there are 4 players, then the maximum available points breaks down as:
The Total Points/#Players is then a function of the Points/#players.
For groups above 4, the winner for the day will get a boost for winning over such a large group. That person's Total Points/#Players is calculated as the maximum # points that day divided by the # of players plus 0.2 times the number of players that day. For instance, for a day whereby there are 7 players, the calculation is:
Total Pts/#Players = 175/7 + 0.2*7 = 26.4
This method allows the winner of a large group to be rewarded for more effort.
Overall, the new calculation method allows for the rankings of the individuals to have more risk and reward per the number of players for a given day.
