Each year, the New Jersey School Counselor Association recognizes a Counselor of the County as selected by their peers in their county affiliate. The purpose of the award is to recognize a counselor for outstanding service and achievement. In addition to the recognition given to the award winners, positive public attention is then focused on the field of school counseling.
These recipients have worked for at least three years in our field, and possess the personal qualities desirable in a school counselor. These recipients have been innovative in guidance and counseling programs. They have demonstrated strong leadership in school counseling and have performed outstanding service to their school or community.
