The Hudson County School Counselor Association is the professional organization for counselors in the municipalities of Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, Union City, Secaucus, North Bergen, Weehawken, West New York, Guttenberg, East Newark, Harrison, and Kearny.

The organization has several objectives:

to foster a closer personal and professional relationship among school counselors
to advance the profession of school counseling in order to maximize the educational, vocational, personal, and social growth of each student.
to promote understanding, development, and acceptance of school counseling principles by members, schools, and communities
to cooperate with local, state, and national school counselor associations.
to improve the standards of school counseling and the relationships with other pupil personnel services for students.
to assume an active role in helping young people to understand and improve such services.
to provide professional development opportunities for the members of the association.
