My Parents met in South Korea, where my dad was stationed in Kimpo during part of his career in the Air Force. Eventually, my dad proposed and my mom flew from Korea to the US to marry. I grew up in Adams 12 Five Star School District attending Tarver, Westlake and Horizon. I got married in March 2006 to Stephanie and I have three children Saphira, Caleb, and Lucas. I love being a father and spending time with my family.
I attended Front Range Community College earning my associates in 1997 then I transferred to the University of Northern Colorado. I was apart of a Greek fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, where one of our community service programs was reading to elementary students. Also, I was apart of the intercollegiate athletic program as a cheerleader and got to cheer at UNC's 2nd National Championship Football game in Alabama. I graduated from UNC (BA in Math Ed) and started teaching HS in 2000. I returned to UNC to earn my Masters (Educational Technology) in 2007. I've taught at Adams City High Schools (Adams 14 district), Mountain Range High School (Adams 12 district), Rachel B. Noelle MS and High Tech Early College (Denver Public Schools district).
In June 2014 I left teaching and became the School Technology Specialist and Co-Site Assessment Leader for High Tech Early College (now called Northeast Early College) during the 2014-2015 School year. The following year (Sept 2015) I moved into the Department of Technology Services (DoTS) as the Near Northeast Site Support Tech for Denver Public Schools. At the end of the 2015-16 school year (May) I leapt at the chance to join the DoTS SWAT team. As the name implies, we on the SWAT team went in and took care of high need technology support requests. In December 2018, I became the Systems Administrator for Ivanti Endpoint Manager, managing all the end user devices for the district. With my last promotion (July 2022) I took the role of Google Admin. I also act as a back up for the Systems Admins in charge of Azure, Intune, Ivanti Service Manager, Ivanti Voice, and Mosyle.
