Approach to Finding High-z Candidates
I noticed that the EAZY prior seemed awfully strict compared to the BPZ prior. It may be that both priors are penalizing high-z candidates that are brighter than expected due to lensing. I attempted a different approach where I used a flat EAZY prior, which effectively boosts the high redshift likelihood. However, it also boosts the contaminants of low-z interlopers, stars, diffraction spikes, or other artifacts. To screen the most obvious of these, I visually inspected all candidates.
