Journal Entry 1:
Today I had to pick my PBL topic. I had to go to an official physics topic website. On the Level 2 section, I finally found the perfect project. It was called ‘Roller Coaster’.
Journal Entry 2:
Yesterday I made my my PBL website. I made it with my google account. After actually creating the website itself, I had to add things to it.
Journal Entry 3:
Today I made a powerpoint presentation for my project. I had to make several different slides. In my presentation I had to talk about all the aspects of my project.
Journal Entry 4:
Last night, I did the History part of my PBL. I had to do a lot of research on the history of roller coasters. It took me a while, but what I learned was very intriguing.
Journal Entry 5:
Today I started building some of my roller coaster. I have to build it piece by piece and its very complex. I have a manual to help me, but it still requires a lot of thinking and focus.
Journal Entry 6:
This morning, I started the About My School page on my website. I had to write a paragraph about the school I go to.
Journal Entry 7:
Today I had to add the necessary links and information to my website. Under the ‘About my school’ part, I added a few links.
Journal Entry 8:
Last night, I had to add the official Harmony Public Schools statement to my website. I went to the official HPS website, and copied the very long statement. Then I went to my website and pasted it under the About My School tab.
Journal Entry 9:
Today I did the Physics research part of my PBL. I had to look up the scientific involvement in my project.
Journal Entry 10/11:
I wrote a more detailed list of my materials, and a better list of my procedure. After that, I wrote about the scientific principles that my project is based on. Those are the key elements to my entire PBL.
Journal Entry 12:
Yesterday, I filled out the investigation worksheet part of my PBL. We were emailed an attachment. In that attachment are questions and blanks for us to fill out
Journal Entry 13:
Today I had to finish working on my English tab. I had to organize my journal entries and put them in order.
Journal Entry 14:
Today I finished the History tab on my PBL website. I went through what I typed up before and re-checked my sources to make sure the information was correct.
Journal Entry 15/16:
Today I started my PBL video. I wrote a script and sent it to my Physics teacher to get approved. Then I printed out a copy for my English teacher to proof and revise.
Journal Entry 17:
Today I finished my PBL video and uploaded it to Youtube. Then I linked the video to my website.
Journal Entry 18:
Today I worked on my brochure for my project. We made our brochures to give out at science exhibitions and presentations.
Journal Entry 19/20:
Today I participated in the STEM festival. It was very fun. I was really cool to see other people’s projects and see how hard everyone has worked on their projects.
