Today I researched about osmosis on Celery and Carrots. This knowledge got by researching on the computer on trustworthy websites. Osmosis is the diffusion of water. Concentrated solution through a partially permeable membrane which allows the passage of water molecules, but no solute molecules. If a cell is placed in a less concentrated solution water enters because the less concentrated solution will have a higher concentration of water than the inside the cell. There are different process water moves readily cross cell membranes through special protein-lined channels, and if the total concentration of all dissolved solutes is not equal on both sides, there will be a net movement of water molecules into or out of the cell. Whether there is the net movement of water into or out of the cell and which direction it moves depends on whether the cell’s environment is isotonic, hypotonic, or hypertonic.

Today we got together me and my teammate we discussed about what schedule we have so we could know when we could meet to do our project. We did the schedule by seeing everything that we needed to do the homework, projects, and work in general that teachers assign to you. Then we checked we had any family arrangements and personal life things that took time. Because communication is very important while doing an experiment with another person you need to know what has happened or what she is about to do to the experiment. Also, we discussed about our budget like how much money we have to contribute to buy stuff for the experiment. Overall, we got our schedule arranged to have our meetings and not get frustrated about how we didn't show up and this way it will be easier to work and finish more efficiently. We both decided that this week we both had free so we are going to start working and finish them this week, so we don't get things pile up with other class work.

Me and my teammate Klarissa made preparations together and we both figure out when we could we do the project. After that we started to ask the biology teacher if she could help us explain our lab. She did explain to us the osmosis and how it could be tested with other things like gummy bears, eggs, potato and water beads. That gave us a new perspective on what to bring but we still weren't that sure. Later we asked the biology teacher when was she available to be in the lab and perform our experiment she said only on some days so we were like we need to arrange another schedule to work with the biology teacher but we said we can still work on it without the help on some areas.

We figure out what to bring to the project and we are ready to perform the experiment. But then the teacher was very busy and didn't have that much time to help us, we decided to do our other task we did task 6 which was pretty hard to do but we ended finish it the only trouble that took us long to do was that the chrome books only have limited web search and you can't go to websites and it took us a long while but then we decided to ask the biology teacher if she had any spare chrome books that can go to the internet. Then she did say only for research and answering the questions for task 6 then with that chrome book we were able to finish that task like a piece of pie. After a while we continue to do other tasks like fixing our websites a little better because they were looking kind of bad. Also we started to do the video but we couldn't because we didn't have all the information and it was needed to perform that task so we decided to do another day. At the end of the day the teacher was busy and couldn't perform the experiment so we decided we could do it tomorrow.

We brought the materials and started to the experiment we were first lost the first part of the experiment then we needed to ask the teacher to help us out with stuff. It was very hard and I try sometimes to get the measurements of water and salt on the cups it as a bit hard but in the end I could figure it out. Also,we took pictures while doing all of the procedure on the experiments. Then I asked the teacher to teach me which way would be the easiest or less complex way to measuring the salt and she told me to use a scale with a weight boat and get a more accurate measurement. After that we put the salt water into different containers or beakers, one was with salt and the other beaker did not have it was tap water, then we put one celery in one and the other one without salt. We repeated the steps to the gummy bear, potato, and water beads and the carrots. Except on the eggs, one had vinegar and the other one had to have corn syrup. Then the teacher said to wait about a day or two to see the difference on the stuff.

Then we decided that it was time to do the video. We had some troubles completing it because it needed to be uploaded to YouTube, but it was all done in the chrome book. We were how are we going to do so we sent it through our mail. Then Klarissa did the upload and the fixes it needed the video added missing stuff then she uploaded it and she told me about. We finished the video that we needed to accomplish for the task on the PBL if it weren't for Klarissa that this amazing video. Then we noticed that there were some little mistakes, but there weren't that important anyways, so we decided to leave like that. Overall that task was successfully done and it was fun to do, we got an amazing grade.

We took some final shots for the other video and then we check the progress that happens overnight to the stuff with put one on tap water another thing on the salt water. Then another task required to put the information about you experiment and how it works and to put other stuff on it. We decide to get together to share ideas and get the task done, but then we read more and it said that it needed to be done separately. We decided that was okay, we still helped each other to get information that was required for the task. I tried to finish the video, but it seemed to take forever, I decided to finish it tomorrow because it was getting late. Also, I think the information we shared helped a lot with the things on the video that needed to be filled.

I finished my video and at the end it was not that hard and it was fun to do well somewhat. I was working on the questions being asked and answering them and then I started working on my SS connection and, my ELA connection.I check some stuff that there is still missing in the project and try to finish it. I learned on this project it was fun, frustrating, unique and very educational. I learned about osmosis and diffusion, and what happens to plants in high and low concentrations of water. Osmosis is the tendency of a fluid, usually water, to pass through a semipermeable membrane into a solution where the solvent concentration is higher, thus equalizing the concentrations of materials on either side of the membrane or the diffusion of fluids through membranes or porous partitions. This were some things that I learned about in my project perform with my teammate.
