For my ELA Component I completed a journal. This allowed me to keep track of my time and allowed me to look back on all my steps of completing this project. My logs:
August 2013- Project Selection
I searched through multiple topics until I finally decided on doing Newton's first law. I chose this one topic because it looked interesting and it made me curious how this really works.
August 2013-Materials and websites
I gathered all my materials and decided one which demonstrations to do for my project. I also had helped from my physics teacher gathering all the material. I also made an email and website.
September-October 2013-ELA and SS component
I had selected to do the journal so I could keep track of my progress so I could complete the project. For my Social Studies I researched Newton's First Law (Law of Inertia). I found out that inertia has something to do with driving so I used that as my component.
November 2013-Created "About my School" and "my pbl project" page
I created a page that provides information about Harmony Public Schools. Also, I created a page to go in depth about Newton's First Law.
December 2013- Conducted investigation
I looked at my handout and did research about the questions asked. I then uploaded the research on the "about my pbl" page.
January 2014-Created Video
I created my video. I collected some pictures and did demonstrations. I added a voiceover and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. Then I added it to my home page.
February 2014-Brochure
I followed a template and used my website as a reference to my brochure. My brochure briefly describes my project and provides a QR code that leads to my website and to my PBL video. I then uploaded my brochure to my website under the "inertia" page.
