Teachers Reward Stickers
All children (especially primary, but not only!) like getting stickers. I have discovered that personalised stickers are a great way to motivate an unknown class. Not only this, but giving out stickers with your name on them does a good job of making you more memorable when it comes to getting a repeat booking the following week.
Furthermore, creating your own stickers saves a a fortune! This is a good thing because using stickers to reward lots of children has a good deal more impact than handing out only a couple every lesson. I aim to present at least 10 every session - you get the majority on your side very quickly and set your expectations with a 'carrot'.
Download the sticker templates below for free. Open them in Microsoft Word and you will be able to edit them to feature your own name or message.
Plug and Play Resources for Supply and NQT
Beasupplyteacher.co.uk can supply a collection of ready made, printable and presentable resource files. They are all on USB - so fantastically portable and designed especially for primary teachers and supply teachers.
Obviously, I wouldn't recommend creating your own stickers using copyrighted images because this would be illegal. I especially wouldn't recommend using Spongebob Square Pants or Lego Star-Wars on the big labels, even if I am sure they would be really popular....
