Vola Ranaivoson

ELCA Missionary

Vola Ranaivoson was born in Madagascar, and grew up as a missionary kid in Papua New Guinea, England, the US and Kenya which has given her a love and passion for connecting and engaging in cross-cultural communities and with people from multifunctional and diverse backgrounds. She studied Communications in University in Iowa, and Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago.

She is interested in how the gospel speaks to all aspects of our lives and how Christians can join in the work of wholistic transformation in their communities. As such she has worked with refugees in Chicago, ran a cafe that focused on Youth mentoring and development, taught elementary students, and worked as a community coordinator in Washington, DC.

Vola loves exploring. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, storytelling, traveling, trying new foods and gathering with friends, listening to music or watching her favorite shows or movies.
