Many different species of Fauna can be found on the reserve such as bats, glow-worms, butterflies and moths.

Also in the past, before the bush and tree lined link across the valley to Holtspur Bottom Butterfly Conservation Managed reserve was cut, dormice could be found in the many boxes which we erected for them in the Cut Throat wood part the reserve - sadly none have been recorded recently.
