What do we use to teach STEM concepts?
- This is the primary component that we will utilize for our STEM classes.
We follow the 4C Approach to Learning.
WeDo activities engage students in a problem-solving approach to learning.
Connect
LEGO characters present the challenge/problem in a playful storyline. Students utilize these problem-based activities to learn about key curriculum concepts.
Construct
Students use step-by-step guides to build basic models and programs, then create an iteration of that model that provides a solution to a challenge.
Contemplate
Students observe their model, utilize criteria for testing, and record how well their solution works.
Continue
Students collect observations and evaluate their solution's effectiveness, sharing results with their peers and further troubleshooting their creations if needed.
