No cheating. You must report any bugs or exploits you discover using the Petition for Help link. A bug is a problem in the game code that permits you to gain an unfair advantage over other players, it is a form of cheating. Any players found to be exploiting any bugs may be temp banned or locked.
Evading the Filter. If a word shows up as !@#$ when you post it, do NOT change it and post again so others can see what it was. There is a filter for a reason. Using foreign languages in open chat is also considered evading the filter, so do not do it. Do not try to filter yourself, just type what you want to say and let the filter do its job. If the filter doesn't catch a word (if you spelled it correctly) then the word is allowed
No cyber bullying. Don't harass other players for their spelling or grammar. Be respectful of players just as you would like to be respected. Keep personal attacks out of roleplaying, we are all here to have fun. It is preferable that you keep arguments off the site or ignore players that irritate you. If someone is ignoring you, don't continue to instigate because you will be warned. When Ignoring players with the Ignore Chat Users function, IGNORE them. Don't continue to talk about them or reference them. To do otherwise could end up in a mute.
No references to Drugs, Alcohol abuse and other Bannable Subjects. No references to self harm or acts of suicide. Don't reference or argue controversial subjects.
Appropriate content. Keep it PG-13. Kissing and holding hands is fine, no mentioning of tongue or clothes being removed. No sexual material and keep the innuendos and references to adult material to nil.
No spamming. We define it as useless and/or repetitive posting. There is a general guideline of using only up to 3 characters in a row. Don't post in all caps in more than two posts excessively. Also use spaces between words and don't post links.
No chatspeak. Not everyone's first language is English and we have players who use screen readers. Using chatspeak can be difficult to understand and other players would respect if you didn't.
No advertising. Other websites are not to be mentioned or discussed in chat, owls or anywhere on the site. If you are found to be sending links to players inviting them to join other websites you will be banned.
No Liber/Slander (Defamation of Character). Don't spread lies about other characters, and respectfully you shouldn't be spreading lies about yourself.
You may have up to 4 characters and they can't interact. You not allowed to refer your alternate characters to receive site site points, this is cheating! Many players are locked because of this and aren't ever able to play on their accounts again, high risk for such a little reward. Use your referral link for NEW players, not those who already have an account.
Keep your personal information out of chat. Use owls to exchange this information, but be careful and don't share it lightly.
If you share your password and something happens on your account, there is nothing that can be done about it. So make sure you absolutely trust who you share your password with.
If you are muted or banned. YOU are being punished, so don't go on another character so you can chat (if you are muted) or play (if you got banned).
In the end, follow the rules and listen to the staff members. If you are not a staff member you shouldn't be warning other players for breaking a rule, especially if a staff member is around. Also when a staff member is handling a situation, your comments on the situation are not needed nor are they necessary. Staff can and will enforce things if they are necessary. You should be familiar who the staff members are by looking at the staff list. If you have any issues, then please petition.
