Computational Model

We have already developed a basic computational model of the internal ballistics of a hybrid motor. As it currently stands, the model allows the user to simulate the thrust, chamber pressure, chamber temperature, and other performance characteristics

over a motor’s burn. The software also provides information on the optimal geometry of the nozzle, chamber, and of the fuel grain. This model has been upgraded to simulate variable oxidizer flow rates to assist in the development of the motor controlling software.
