Newsletter Week 4
Here we are at the last week of camp! We've had a great time this summer learning songs, games, crafting techniques, and making tons of new friends in the process. This week we put the finishing touches on the show and we made posters for the campers to sign and keep all the memories. We would not have made it this far without the diligent focus and leadership from Remi and Aurelia. Michael has wowed us with his musical talents and hilarious acting. Thanks for a great summer and I hope to see you all again next year!
Newsletter Week 3
We only have one week left now as we come to the end of this week: Parents' Day! I hope you all enjoyed our demonstration on Friday! Meanwhile, we have learned practically the entire show and now we are polishing it to make the finished product stand just as we envisioned it. Khyra, Ma'ayan and Daniel have shown really great energy during the dance routines. In art class, we have been making decorations for the Parents' Day where Michael has shown great focus during class.
Newsletter Week 2
Hi parents! We're moving along quickly this week as we have shockingly already reached the halfway point of our camp! The campers have continued to learn new songs such as "Do You Love Me" & "Please Mr. Postman" as well as choreography to go with them. They're all really excited to show off their dancing in "Dancin' in the Streets". I noticed some especially amazing moves this week by Tyler & Lily, but everyone is working hard. In art class, we've been making lanyards and crafting with string and beads. It's been a great week!
Newsletter Week 1
Hello Parents! The first week of camp is already coming to a close as the kids have started learning a few classic Motown songs and some choreography. They seem really excited about learning the history of this rich musical tradition. Ellie M. showed great focus and patience while learning the songs.
In art class we did introductions through chalk drawings and acrostic poems. Abby has great creative energy in art class.
