How to personalize math with OneNote Class Notebooks |After looping up to fifth grade with my fourth graders, I wasted no time in figuring out their strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and interests. I knew these students as if they were my own family and I wanted to make this year even better than the last. Math has always been a passion of mine, but it's a subject that so many students hate. Knowing that, of course, makes me the type of teacher who has a passion to change that. I wanted to restructure my traditional math block from last year and implement a more engaging, personalized approach. I was introduced to a more personalized model from the sixth-grade team at my school, but I had a hard time wrapping my head around the organization and structure in a way that would work for my class. Then I was introduced to OneNote. OneNote Class Notebooks provided me with the structure to create a working system that promoted student ownership.
