Discussion meeting on Granular dynamics & Planetary terrain
Date: August 6 - 7, 2019
Venue: Hikone culture plaza
Aims and scope:
Granular dynamics is relevant to various natural phenomena and industrial applications. However, the fundamental understanding of granular dynamics has not yet been achieved, and many interesting problems have been left unsolved. To accelerate the study of granular dynamics, international and interdisciplinary discussion must be very helpful. Here, we hold a small workshop (discussion meeting) to effectively proceed the study of granular dynamics. Particularly, planetary terrains such as impact craters, ridges, etc. will be focussed as application of granular dynamics. Other focused topics will be granular-impact drag force, granular flow, etc. But any other topics relating to granular dynamics are also welcome.
