Twenty Nine members and guests attended this afternoon event in the Portola Hills overlooking the Santa Clara Valley. The Fine dining cooking demonstration presented by our own Chef Chantale Doinel, professional member of the Hillsborough Bailliage, was eagerly consumed. Wonderful parings of estate wines completed the menu. Bud Hoffacker (Professional du Vin) & Annemarie Redmond hosted the event on their beautiful estate.

Chef Chantale Doinel
Chef Chantale is a Professional Member of La Chaîne and the Hillsborough Bailliage.
She has planned a special menu for demonstrating, and then serving to us. Chantale has extensive experience with her own catering business and with conducting cooking classes at Draeger’s Cooking School. A French national born in Morocco, Chantale has lived and traveled throughout North Africa and Europe discovering the diversity of subtle flavors that she incorporates into her dishes. Chantale is a graduate of the International Culinary Center and served her externship at the Village Pub in Woodside.
Portola Hills Vineyard
The venue is the Portola Hills Vineyard, featuring the beautiful home of our Professional Member Bud Hoffacker and his wife Annemarie Redmond. Their professional kitchen with spectacular views of the SF Bay and outside dining overlooking the vineyards will be where Chef Chantale will demonstrate the cooking and prepare the meal served to our guests. Bud will describe their extensive Pinot Noir vineyards, and the Portola Hills Winery’s excellent Redmond Pinot Noir which will be served to our attending members. www.PortolaHillsVineyard.com
