2019 SAT JUL 20 Urban Wine Experience

The urban winery venue is a new “Custom Crush Facility” in southern San Francisco located at 495 Barneveld Ave attended by 30 members and guests. We had a discussion of the wine making process, clone selection, terroir, vineyard planning and management by the owner John Peterson, winemakers Ed Kurtzman & Justin Massa, and vineyard manager Ruben Balderas. We tasted August West (www.augustwestwine.com), Mansfield-Dunne (www. Mansfield-dunne.com) and Sandler wines (www.sandlerwine.com). Their wines include numerous Pinot Noirs plus Chardonnays, Cabernets, Syrah and Grenache from Napa, Sonoma, Chalone, Santa Lucia Highlands and Santa Maria.

Chantale Catering served a fabulous Hors d ’Oeuvres Buffet Luncheon designed by Chantale Doinel owner, Francoise Thien, & Paul Hewitt made the perfect pairings for the wonderful wines served.
