“From Nat King to Cole Porter with a little Bing sprinkled in”

Thirty Nine members and guests of Hillsborough Bailliage gathered at the Lake Merced Golf Club on Junipero Sierra Blvd in Daly City on SUN DEC 2, 2018. The venue was decked out with holiday cheer including Xmas trees and red with green themes throughout.

Tasty hors d’oeuvres were passed as people gathered, chatted and sipped sparkling Cremant de Bourgogne.

At 7:00 PM attendees were seated at 6 round tables across the open banquet room with a view of the golf course.

Introductions were made of guests and visiting officers including Gene Daly Vice Conseiller Gastronomique des Etats-Unis.

A 5 course meal with paired wines commenced. Both the sea bass and Elk dishes were big hits.

As dessert was served, Gene Daly introduced the evening’s entertainment, longtime friend Noah Griffin of the Cole Porter society. Noah delighted everyone with various classics, and then moved to traditional Xmas carols with audience participation.

So not to interrupt the Gala EJ Heinzer & Michael Kalkstein/Bailli stepped into kitchen to present Executive Chef Tracy Flores, Maître Rôtisseurs her recognition award from the Hillsborough Bailliage. (She had to leave early due to a long week of events)
