The Hillsborough Bailliage (39 attendees) gathered to induct 3 new members, Paula Golden as Dame de La Chaine, Edwin Caba as Maître Rôtisseur, and Ken Neibaur as Chevalier. In addition, 5 elevations, 2 reinstatements, 3 Share-the-Chaine recognitions officiated by Bertrand de Boutray Bailli Provincial PNW.
Following the business, Chef Srijith Gopinathan and Sommelier Patrick Miner presented the Bailliage with a wonderful unique 5 course meal. Perfect wines were chosen to complement each dish.

EXECUTIVE CHEF
Srijith Gopinathan As a child, Srijith grew up being influenced by the exotic spices of Southern India His backyard blossomed with ginger and turmeric and he was often tasked to collect these culinary treasures and bring them in to the family kitchen where he observed lessons on utilizing every part of an ingredient and spice.
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Srijith worked in the illustrious kitchen of Raymond Blanc and Gary Jones at the Michelin two-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in England, where he honed his extensive repertoire of classical European techniques.
Chef Srijith also spent time in upscale hotels in India before taking the helm at Taj Exotica in the Maldives. For the past ten years, Chef Srijith has used his unique skill set to create the most refined version of contemporary Cal-Indian cuisine at Campton Place. For eight years in a row, Chef Srijith earned a Michelin star for this landmark San Francisco dining establishment, including two stars in 2016 and 2017.
SOMMELIER
Patrick Miner brings over twenty years of restaurant and wine industry experience and a background in theatre to his role as sommelier of Campton Place Restaurant.
Miner’s studies and interests have always spanned the globe. His broad mindset ultimately led him to a career in restaurants where he has benefited from experiencing a wide variety of concepts, cuisines and flavors.
Previously, Miner served as a sommelier at La Toque, Chef Ken Frank’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Napa and served as the lead sommelier for four years under wine director Christophe Tassan at The Battery, a private social club in San Francisco, where he gained a wider perception of the layered and diverse world of wine. He was also selected to be among an elite group of sommeliers from the U.S. for an exclusive, in depth visit to Saint-Emilion in Bordeaux.
Miner joined the Campton Place team in late 2017, where he’s encountered the art of pairing wines with dishes that are vigorously influenced by Indian cuisine.
