Soohyun, Hyojeong, and Jeongha  of HILAB Win the Excellent presentation Awards at 2023 KWRA conference.

Soohyun, Hyojeong, and Jeongha won the best paper award at the 2023 KWRA conference. The conference, which was attended by six members of Hilab, including Prof. Kim, featured a total of seven oral presentations and one poster presentation. Prof. Kim made two oral presentations and chaired one session, further highlighting the presence of Hilab. Soohyun presented "Analysis of behavior by duration of extreme rainfall based on radar precipitation data," while Hyojeong gave an oral presentation on "A ConvLSTM-based deep learning model with grid-weighting for predicting extreme precipitation event". Jeongha gave a poster presentation on "Stochastic simulation of future sub-hourly rainfall using Poisson cluster rainfall model". This award not only recognizes their individual excellence, but also demonstrates Hilab's commitment to research and innovation. Congratulations to Soohyun, Hyojeong, and Jeongha for their amazing achievements!

HILAB Participates in the 2023 EGU Conference: Researchers Share Insights and Findings through Multiple Poster and Oral Presentations

Professor Kim and HiLAB researchers participated in 2023 EGU.  Prof. Kim presented a poster on "Machines simulate hydrologic processes using a simple structure but in a unique manner – a case study of predicting fine scale watershed response on a distributed framework", and Jeongha gave an oral presentation on "Stochastic Simulation of Realistic Continuous Snow Depth Time Series". In addition, Soohyun, Yongchan, Hyojeong, and Jeonghun presented posters exploring various aspects of hydrology. Overall, HILAB contributed to the scientific discourse by showcasing cutting-edge research at this conference.

Waqas gave a presentation on "Detection of Land Subsidence and its Relationship with Land Cover Types using ESA Sentinel Satellites data: A case study of Quetta valley, Pakistan," and Jeongha gave a presentation on "Development of hybrid stochastic model for rainfall generation considering rainfall inter-annual variability"
