HIGHWAYS HILLWALKING CLUB EDINBURGH
Highways is an Edinburgh-based hillwalking club. Our members vary in experience and interest but what we share in common is a love of walking in Scotland's hills and mountains. Our Sunday outings allow walkers to choose a route to suit their ambition for the day. Some might take in several munros while other opt for a shorter route. We always welcome new members and invite you to join us for a walk or two before you need to think about joining.

Our walks
In 2025 our programme takes us to Tyndrum, Cruachan, Highland Perthshire, the Cairngorms, Glen Clova, the Trossachs and the Borders.
In 2025 we have weekends in Dumnadrochit (handy for Glen Affric and Loch Mullardoch) and Knoydart
Transport is by private coach which means no need for a long drive home and can open up interesting linear routes. We discuss routes on the day and form parties to suit different ambitions. We also have a link to the Ptarmigan Mountaineering and Hillwalking Club which allows members to join their monthly outings.
If you are interested in joining us or wish more information then please contact the Secretary
