How Can I Get Involved with After Prom?

Keeping teenagers entertained for five hours in the middle of the night can be a challenging task.  It not only takes parent and community volunteers months to coordinate an event of this size, but funds to support a variety of activities so that the After Prom Party maintains its status as the primary venue for HHS Seniors to gather after the Prom. We offer games, live entertainment, music, food, an array of prizes and a great deal more in a theme-decorated setting that lasts from Midnight until 4:30AM at HHS.

This year prom will be held on June 2, 2023. Not only do we need volunteers from set-up to clean-up the day of, but helping prepare in the months before.

Each year we have a different theme. Past themes have been Wild West, Decades and Superheroes. The theme stays a secret until the night of the event. But creating the decorations to transform the school into the theme starts months in advance. If you've got artistic talent, we want you! We want you even if you don't have artistic talent and can just follow directions.

Work full time and have multiple kids? So do most of us on the board! Don't let that stop you, we can find a place for you to help, just volunteer!

Please note: Whether an HHS student attends the Senior Prom or not, they are welcomed to attend this overnight event that starts immediately after the Senior Prom.  Guests who attended prom may also attend After Prom with a Senior. This is a FREE event for the kids where everyone has fun. Seniors have the opportunity to win prizes as well. Typical prizes include anything from college dorm gear to laptops and TVs!

Don't have a Senior?

That's ok, many of us don't! Please don't wait unit your child's senior year to get involved. Just because our biggest event is the After Prom, doesn't mean there isn't a roll for you. After Prom is for the seniors and their prom guests! Your child might get the opportunity to go before senior year as a guest. Plus, by getting involved when your child enters high school, you are helping to ensure this event continues for your child and future seniors.

Student Fundraisers

Each year a Senior Basket is raffled off to participating seniors. Valued at over $300, the basket typically includes 2 Prom Bids, a year book, cap and gown, and more. Sometimes hair, tuxedo rental, flowers and other prom night needs. Be on the lookout for additional information.

Has your Junior already gotten their license? Parking at HHS is for staff and Senior students. But... the PTO as TWO prime reserved parking spaces available! Each month eligible students can enter the raffle to be selected to purchase one of those spaces for the month. Contact Ellen Slattery or email us!

Donations

These activities are not the only way that we raise funds. We receive donations from our local business community and we also ask for your support. A donation to HHS PTO is easy! Just use our GoFundMe link. Any amount is appreciated and will help to ensure a successful After Prom.
