What is the HHS PARENTS ASSOCIATION & After Prom?
The Hightstown High School Parents Association is a collection of parents and staff members united to support our children's education and high school experience. The largest project we undertake each year is After Prom.
After Prom is a party held, you guessed it, after senior prom! Proudly a 35+ year tradition at HHS! After Prom provides a safe, substance-free place for our students to continue their senior prom celebration.
Each year during Prom season approximately 5,000 teenagers are injured and 48 more are killed in automobile crashes across the U.S. The familiar deadly combination of youth, distraction and, for some, driving under the influence.
The Hightstown/East Windsor community stepped up to combat this phenomenon by sponsoring a free, safe and substance-free After Prom Party for Hightstown High School students and their prom guests.
We are rightly proud of our remarkable 30+ year history of no alcohol or drug-related incidents on Prom Night.
But we are more than just After Prom!
The HHSPA has provided or off-set the cost of special assemblies benefiting all students. Additionally, we will be offering our appreciation to the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
By hosting a variety of fundraising activities we not only are able to raise money but provide activities and service to our community.
