Bass Hatchery Cleanup - Wahiawa Middle School

About 30 volunteers came out to the Wahiawa Middle School on June 26th to help clean up the LM Bass hatchery. Volunteers came from the HFFA, Trout Unlimited as well as concerned weekend fishermen. Volunteers spent the day cleaning the grounds, weed whacking, removing brush and vegetation, filling in a large outdoor pond as well as removing and installing a new breeding tank. The effort from all that came will greatly help the LMB hatchery and ultimately perpetuate and sustain bass fishing in the Lake for everyone.

Special thanks to Crash and his family for providing lunch to everyone, the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious and to Mel for offering the custom fishing rods and fishing packs to lucky volunteers. Thank you Stan Wright for all that you do to sustain fishing in Hawaii and for taking the pictures.
