What I have heard about Bose-Einstein condensation makes it sound really weird.
What is it really, and how did someone think of it?
In the early 1920s Satyendra Nath Bose was studying the new idea (at that time) that the light came in little discrete packets (we now call these “quanta” or “photons”). Bose assumed certain rules for deciding when two photons should be counted up as either identical or different. We now call these rules “Bose statistics” (or sometimes “Bose-Einstein statistics”).
So where does Einstein come in?
Bose had trouble getting people to believe him and to publish his ideas in the scientific magazines of the day, so he sent them to Einstein. Einstein liked them, and he was a very important scientist at that time, so he used his influence to get them published.

Ray Tensing, a white University of Cincinnati police officer, fatally shot DuBose, a black man, when Dubose started his car and, according to Tensing, began to drive off. Tensing stated that he was being dragged when his arm became caught in the car.
Prosecutors said that footage from Tensing’s bodycam showed that he was not dragged and a grand jury indicted him on charges of murder and voluntary manslaughter. He was then fired from the police department.

The suspect accused in the shooting death of a man outside of Richie’s Fast Food Restaurant in the West End appeared in court Friday morning.
Dathan Hall, 21, was arrested Thursday night and charged with murder in the death of 27-year-old Jariell Dean last May. He’s being held on a $500,000 bond.
Police said Dean was shot May 27 in the parking lot of Richie’s at 1301 Linn Street, causing him to crash his vehicle into the restaurant.
Dean suffered a gunshot wound to the head and later died at the hospital.
Hall appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom at 9 a.m. Friday for arraignment. The case was scheduled to go before a grand jury August 18.

Tensing falls away from the vehicle which moves forward as he and two other officers run after it. It comes to a stop after about 100 yards (91 m).

The theory of this behaviour was developed (1924–25) by Satyendra Nath Bose, who recognized that a collection of identical and indistinguishable particles can be distributed in this way. The idea was later adopted and extended byAlbert Einstein in collaboration with Bose.
The Bose–Einstein statistics apply only to those particles not limited to single occupancy of the same state—that is, particles that do not obey the Pauli exclusion principle restrictions. Such particles have integer values of spin and are named bosons, after the statistics that correctly describe their behaviour. There must also be no significant interaction between the particles.
