In 2021, concerned students began approaching us for help because they were finding injured and dead birds that had collided with windows on campus. Since this time we have been monitoring window collisions to identify when they are most likely to occur, which species are most impacted, and which windows pose the greatest risks. We are currently working to get funding to put up window clings on the most problematic windows and designing a CURE module with Dr. Kimberly Booth using these data for a non-majors biology course.
