I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at UCL Social Research Institute.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California at Berkeley in May 2015. Currently, my research focuses on topics in the Economics of Education but I am also interested in other areas of Labor Economics and Applied Econometrics.
My research interest revolves around how various educational resources can transform children's lives and how we can better allocate or organize these resources to have an impact on educational achievement and real-life outcomes. In my projects, I mostly use large, administrative datasets, teacher- and school- value added models and other statistical methods to learn about teacher effectiveness and teacher labor markets. I have worked with data from the US, UK and my home country, Hungary.
