The annual Blue Ridge Brawl Polocrosse Tournament hosted by Heartland Polocrosse Club took place on August 16-17, 2025. The weather was seasonably hot and humid with an afternoon shower. Heartland member family volunteers served a fried chicken dinner and southern sides to good company Saturday night.
There were 30 riders arranged into two divisions of play. Three six player teams competed in the Open division. The sections were fixed and captained by more experienced players who demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship to accommodate range of skills.
Four sectional teams of 3 players competed in the Rising Stars division. Five new players were riding in their first sanctioned tournament.
Paul Doelz from MN held an Umpiring Meeting for all participants Friday evening. Crossing concerns were good conversation.
