The GIS and remote sensing laboratory at BSMRAU has excellent human resources and infrastructure capacity for SMART farming and precision agriculture. Research work includes geostatistical analysis and satellite image processing using different machine learning algorithms and modeling. The LAB has a space of 300 square meters. Expenses covered by the institution include salaries for the faculty member and researcher. The University’s budget covers utilities and annual maintenance of Lab facilities and equipment. Students’ stipend is maintained by research funding. Separate office spaces are available for faculty members and guest/ visiting researchers.
