10/13/16
Hi all,
Sorry I had to miss class on Wed. I hope it went well. Remember to finish 3.4 by Monday. To study, I suggest doing every problem in each exercise set at least twice, especially for ones done in class. It's important to know how to do each problem well. Remember to purchase Packet 2 in the bookstore. Bring Mod 4 to class next Wed, and to bring your manipulatives for the sections we will be working on to each class. I am posting the tentative schedule in MyOpenMath, along with the tests, but it is also below for your convenience. Note that Test 3 is on 10/24. More info below. Have a great weekend.
Directions for logging in to MyOpenMath:

10/27/16
1. To log in to MyOpenMath to see tests and solutions, see above.
2. There are a lot of videos for Math 105 at https://sites.google.com/site/beltranmathmiracosta/videos
3. Complete all of Mod 4, and the first 11 pages of Mod 5 by Monday. You can turn those in on Monday or Wednesday for full credit.
4. Bring Mods 4-6 to class on Monday. We will do 6.1 on Monday.
5. If you do past page 11 in Mod 5, you will learn more about the distributive property, and have an opportunity to earn extra credit on those types of problems on Test 4, which is on Wed, 11/9. Test 4 covers Mods 4-6. I do not give extra credit for doing the extra HW pages in Mod 5.
6. The syllabi, schedule, and announcements for our class are at https://sites.google.com/site/harlandclass/home/syllabi/f16math105
7. To learn the material well, do problems in the module more than once.
8. Always show all work and steps in the module.
9. When you make your own quiz at the end, follow the directions. Problems should be varied and have clear directions. In other words, problems should be from different sections of the module. You shouldn't be doing 5 of the same type of problem, and completely skipping other concepts. Solutions should be on a separate page, with all work shown.
See you on Halloween!
