2/1/18 Time to schedule Math 30 Test Appointments
It is time to schedule your proctored test appointment to take Test 1. Proctored tests are taken in the Academic Proctoring Center (APC) unless you make arrangements directly with them to take it out of the county. All info regarding tests is in the TEST INFO & Test Dates link in MyOpenMath. Below are the test window dates for this semester. To get an appointment that fits your schedule, schedule well in advance of the date you want to take each test. Schedule your first test now. You may also schedule all tests for the semester starting today, or schedule each one at least a couple weeks ahead of time. After you schedule Test 1, open the T1 appt date/time assessment and fill in the info. Do this for each test by the due date shown in the TEST INFO folder.
Student can go online to schedule all test appointments for the entire semester starting today, Thursday, February 1st. The Academic Proctoring Center will open up on Monday, February 5th.

Today is the last day you may submit answers to Q06 (you'll need to use a late pass), and Q08 is due today. Q09 is due 2/12, and Rev7-9 is due 2/14.
The Graphing Packet does not get turned in. That is something you keep to review for the test. It is not graded.
Feb. 14 is the first day of the test window to take Test 1. The last day you may take Test 1 is Feb. 24. Appointments are required! Get there a little early. See all info regarding tests in Test Info folder.
If you are keeping up and review/study, you should do fine on Test 1.
To be assured of not being dropped, submit answers in quizzes by the original due date each week, and take each test by the deadline. If something prevents you from doing either of those things, contact me.
2/13/18
I hope you have completed the Graphing Packet, and quizzes through Q09. You may open any quiz in review and try more for practice. You should be reviewing for Test 1 now. Rev7-9 is due Wed, 2/14. The test window for Test 1 is Feb 14-24. Appointments are required! Get to your appointment a little early. See all info regarding tests in Test Info folder. If you have not entered your appointment info in the T1 appt date/time assessment (found in Test Info folder), use a late pass and enter it ASAP.
Note: The campus is closed Feb 16-19.
Open and start working on Mod 2 next week. Q10 is due Monday, 2/26, and requires you to graph two lines on the same set of axes. Most of what you learn requires constant review and knowledge of previous material, you go for it and really own it!
To be assured of not being dropped, submit answers in quizzes by the original due date each week, and take Test 1 by the deadline. If something prevents you from doing either of those things, contact me.
2/13/18 How to get each graded test returned to you:
I wanted to remind you of this info in Test Info in case you'd like to have your test mailed to you. At the top of your test is a place for you to write OC or SAN or MAIL to let me know if you are going to pick it up at Oceanside (OC), San Elijo (SAN), or include a properly addressed, stamped (3 stamps) large envelope so that you receive it via mail.
I'll let you know after each test has been graded, recorded, and is ready to be picked up.
HOW TO PICK UP YOUR GRADED TESTS: Graded tests may be picked up from the secretary in the 3600 building at Oceanside during business hours. If you want to pick it up from the secretary in the Admissions office at San Elijo, write SAN ELIJO at top of test. If you want it mailed to you, write MAIL at top of test and give a properly addressed 9” by 11” envelope with 3 stamps on it to the proctor before taking a test. See below. Final exams are NOT returned.
**DIRECTIONS TO GET A GRADED TEST RETURNED TO YOU VIA the US Postal Service: If you would like a graded test returned to you via the post office, properly address and put 3 stamps on a large 9" by 11" envelope with self-adhesive tape or a clasp--I'm not going to lick envelopes. See http://www.ehow.com/how_6923039_address-large-envelopes.html if you aren't sure how address/stamp large envelopes. Write legibly and in pen. At bottom of envelope, write Math 30 and write which test to put in envelope--Test 1, Test 2, or Test 3. Give envelope to the proctor in the APC when you take your test OR SEND TO ME AT the address on this page if you forget to give to the proctor: https://sites.google.com/site/harlandclass/home/outofcounty You MUST use the correct size envelope in order for me to send it to you. Tests will not fit in regular envelopes. Follow these directions exactly if you want your test mailed to you.

2/26/18 Schedule for Mod 2
I will be grading Test 1 this week, and will let you know after I enter your grades in your gradebook in MyOpenMath, as well as when they will be available for pick up. IF YOU DID NOT TAKE IT AND WANT TO REMAIN IN THE CLASS, EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY! If you haven't scheduled an Appointment for Test 2 yet, please log in and do that today to be assured of getting the campus/date/time that works best for your schedule. The test window is 3/15-3/31, so you may take it before or after the spring break. After you make an appointment with the APC, open T2 appt date/time in the Test Info folder, and enter your info no later than 3/15.
Below is the schedule for Mod 2. Q10 is due today. If you have questions, post to the forum and please be as specific as possible about your question, what you tried so far, etc. You may upload your work or type your steps. You should complete each quiz by the original due date as there really isn't time to lag behind in this class. Set aside at least 12 hours week to transcribe videos, and do the online quizzes.
Each quiz will be visible in the Calendar and each module about a week before it is due. Check often. There is no packet for this module. Start working on each online quiz at least a few days before its due date. Also read/complete any posted handouts. Work includes watching/transcribing assigned videos, and attaching first page of some of your transcribed video notes as in the online assignments. To avoid being dropped, open and submit answers in each quiz by original due date. Use a late pass for more time to complete one.
