This module attempts to give students a thorough understanding of various topics in Corporate Finance, which include: valuation of bonds and stocks, principles of capital investment like NPV and IRR, CAMP model, Efficient Market, evaluation of risky investments, theories of Capital Structure (including Modigliani & Miller Propositions I and II) and theories of dividend policy.
Asset Pricing (undergraduate level)
Asset Pricing is a compulsory course for Year two students. It deals with the theory of valuation of Financial Assets. We discuss and assess specific financial instruments in terms of general economic principles such as the No Arbitrage principle.
Options and futures (undergraduate level)
Options and Futures is a compulsory course for Year three students. It deals with the valuation and hedging of options, forward contracts, swaps and other derivatives. This module includes topics like binomial model and Black-Scholes model, helping students to considerably enhance their quantitative skills by gaining an understanding of simple stochastic process.
