PhD Students
Md. Takmil Sakir joined the group in January 2021. He is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering working on the multiscale computational mechanics of all-solid-state lithium batteries.
Wongelemengist Yilma Nadew joined the group in January 2023. He is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering working on data-driven constitutive modeling for materials. In April 2025, he received the best oral presentation award (engineering grad category) at the USU Student Research Symposium.
Nanang Mahardika joined the group in October 2021 as a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering. He is a recipient of the USU Presidential Doctoral Fellowship, 2024 Outstanding Engineering PhD Scholar of the year, and travel award from the 18th US National Congress of Computational Mechanics. He currently works on the mechanics of stimuli-responsive elastomers.
