Md. Takmil Sakir joined the group in January 2021. He is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering working on the multiscale computational mechanics of all-solid-state lithium batteries.
Wongelemengist Yilma Nadew joined the group in January 2023 after earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering working on data-driven constitutive modeling for materials. In 2025, he received the best oral presentation award at the USU Student Research Symposium and the MAE PhD Student Researcher of the Year award.
Hasnat Iftekhar joined the group in August 2026 as a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering. He works on computational modeling of soft active materials.
