Hans K. Hvide homepage
I am professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Bergen. I am also affiliated with CEPR, University of Aberdeen, and IZA. My main research interests are young firms (entrepreneurship) and behavioral finance. You can find samples of my research here and press coverage here.
I use a combination of economic theory and data (typically, Norwegian register data) to address questions such as "Do entrepreneurs matter?" and "Are individuals affected by their co-workers when making investment decisions?".
I have published in leading journals of Economics, Finance and Management, and have consulted for the Norwegian government and several small and large companies. I have developed what may be the first Economics of Entrepreneurship Phd course in the world. Feel free to contact me at hans.hvide'at'econ.uib.no.
