Hans K. Hvide homepage

I am professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Bergen and also affiliated with CEPR and University of Aberdeen. My main research interests are young firms (entrepreneurship) and behavioral finance. You can find samples of my research hereMy work has been featured in Science, in the Wall Street Journal, and in the New York Times. Other press coverage here

My work typically employs a combination of economic theory and data (often Norwegian register data) to address questions such as "Do temporary demand shocks affect long-run outcomes for startups?" and "Are individuals affected by their co-workers when making investment decisions?".

I have published in top journals of Economics, Finance and Management journals, and have consulted for the Norwegian government and several small and large companies. I have developed what may be the first Economics of Entrepreneurship Phd course in the world. Feel free to contact me at hans.hvide'at'uib.no.

Her er en artikkel på norsk som lettfattelig forteller om resultat fra "Hvide project" på gründere. Artikkelen ble publisert i Magma høsten 2017.
