The Real Life
It was 2005. Mohamed was the third child of an Iraqi family in Bagdad. He was fifteen and he used to work in a big factory in the outside of Bagdad. In April the American bombers attacked Bagdad. Mohamed was caught in a cave for three weeks and when he managed to go out his city was totally destroyed. His house had been destroyed and his family had
Once upon a time there was a girl called Sarah. She was fifteen years old. Sarah was gorgeous. Her eyes were green. She had curly brown hair and her smile was perfect. She was tall and thin. Her look was very cool.
Sarah was a really nice person too. She was a very generous, funny, confident person. She had a lot of friends and all of them loved her a lot.
Her only wrong thing with her was she didn’t like studying. She didn’t get on very well with her parents for this reason: she always got low marks. She was always grounded and couldn’t go out with her friends after school.
One day the director of Sarah’s school called her parents and said to them that Sarah had been expelled from school for her bad marks and her attitude towards the teachers. That evening, when Sarah arrived home from school, her parents chatted with her seriously. They were going to send her to a boarding school. Sarah was really angry and sad. She never thought that her parents would do this to her.
Two weeks later, Sarah’s friends organised her a party to say goodbye. Sarah was really surprised and happy, but on the other hand she was sad because probably it was the last time she would see her friends for a long time. Sarah said goodbye to everybody. She was crying at the end of the party, but she promised her friends she was going to be good in order to come back as soon as possible.
Next day Sarah was going to go to the boarding school.
She went into the car with her parents and they started their journey. When they arrived at the boarding school, Sarah didn’t want to stay there. She begged her parents not to leave her in the boarding school. She promised she was going to be good, but her parents didn’t believe her and they said she had to stay there. Sarah said goodbye to her parents and she went into the boarding school really disappointed with them, but at the same time, she was curious to what was going to happen.
An Incredible Adventure
It was a cold night. I was alone in my house, because my parents had gone out to have dinner together. I had to look after my brother, he was eight years old, and he was a nice, intelligent and very nervous person, he was very funny too. When my brother and I were watching TV, I heard a strange sound. I didn’t mind it because I thought it was a window (it was windy). Later, I played playstation with my brother because he said “I’m bored, I want to play playstation with you, come on, brother, please”, and I answered “Mmmm, Ok, but at eleven o’clock you have to go bed. OK?” “OK”. When we were playing playstation, I heard a strange sound once more. This time I didn’t think it was a window, but I didn’t go to see where it came from. I was very frightened, but I saw my brother and I thought he hadn’t heard it. My brother and I were picking up the playstation. It was eleven o’clock and I had to take my brother to his bed. When I was taking him to bed, I heard the strange sound again. I was more frightened because the sound was coming from my brother's room. When my brother was opening the door, a strange light came out, and….
died. He was alone in the world. Suddenly, he heard shots and he had to escape so that he wouldn’t be caught by the American soldiers. Three distressing months later he was in Paris. He was looking for work. Finally he got a job in a fruit company called Apple, but beginnings were not easy. He didn’t find a flat and he lived in inhuman conditions for two weeks. In September he found a small flat in a Jewish neighbourhood, although he didn’t like it because there was some damp and there were a lot of rats. He lived in it until January. Finally he resigned from his post and travelled to Cyprus where there were more Muslims than Christians. He thought people there would treat him better than Parisians. Around the middle of January he started to study in a public high school. He was the best in Maths and Biology but he failed English. In March a scientist found petroleum on the Cypriot coast. Cyprus wanted to control the petroleum and then they declared war to Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, United States of America, England and Germany because these countries hoped to control it too. So Mohamed went into exile to Afghanistan. The radical Muslims controlled the country and the arms were the only way to communicate. Mohamed started to work in a hospital. He cleaned the hospital and he helped doctors in special occasions. In June he was arrested by radicals. His crime was having helped to reconstruct the country. In July a jury condemned him to a thousand years in prison. In August he started to plan a escape. The plan was simple.

Mrs. Wood's was one of most famous orphanages in London.
The building was old and had got three floors. To get inside you had to go up some stairs.
There was a hall with very clean white floor tiles. Mrs. Wood met the visitors in a small study and she met the child too. The study had small but welcoming furniture.
On the basement there was a larder, a boiler and a gardener's tools.
On the first floor there was a kitchen and a dining room. The cook was Mrs. Adam. She was about 50 and had white hair, but she always wore a cook's hat. Her eyes were green and round, with good-natured look. The children loved her a lot.
On the second floor, there were the rooms, the bathroom and the classes. Every room had got six bunks. The lights went out at nine o'clock at night and at seven o'clock in the morning the children had to stay at the dining-room. At eight o'oclock the classes started. Their teacher was Mr. Philips. He was an horrible person because he punished everybody.
On the third floor there was an attic, but the children and Mrs. Adam weren't allowed to go in, only Mrs. Wood and Mr. Philips could.
One day, two sisters carried a girl of about 6, she was an orphan...
There was a child called Dusty. He had blue eyes and blond hair, and he was always happy and telling jokes too. He had a lot of friends in the school, and he enjoyed a lot with them. He was always with them, and he played with them everywhere, at school, in the street... All in his life was good, but a problem came out. His mother was very ill and he had to look after her. The doctor talked with him, and he talked to Dusty about his life. He told him she was very bad, and probably in one year his mother would die. He was with his mother all the time, and he forgot his friends. They were very sad because he was always happy, but now he was very sad. The days pased by and he didn’t go to school, and his friends supported him. One day, he met a girl. She was a very good, beautiful girl. There were going out together, and Dusty started to be happy again. Then she became his girlfriend, and he forgot about his mother. His friends talked to him, and commented about his mother, because she was getting worse. He didn’t listened to them, and he said he preferred his girlfriend to his mother. He got angry with them and he lost all his friends. By this time, Dusty and his girlfriend had an argument and they split up. He wanted to be with his mother because she was the person who he wasn’t angry with. But there was a surprise...
The Dog
Last Friday, while I was coming back from a football match, I found a box near my house. I didn’t go to see inside the box, but I heard a noise and opened it. When I opened it, I saw a very small puppy and it was cold. It seemed hungry, so I decided to take it to my house with me. But when I showed the dog to my mother, she didn’t love it. Because there are a lot of expenses with a dog, and even more with its food, and we weren’t in a good financial situation. I became very sad and my mother proposed me a thing: I could keep the dog if it took care of its expenses. I accepted her offer and then I was very happy. But it wasn’t so easy, since I didn’t have money. I didn’t know how to get the money that needed, but then I found a poster that helped me. It was of a competition of agility for dogs and the prize was 500€.
I decided to take Eros, that is the name of my dog, to the competition. But I had to train it before. I trained it for two weeks. At the beginning it was hard for me, but at the end it was easier. A few days later the competition began, but we were already prepared. It was very difficult because there were a lot of contestants, but Eros did it very well. The punctuations were very adjusted between all the dogs. But I managed to be in the final of the competition. It was difficult but we won and I became very happy. From this day I didn’t have any more problems to keep Eros and I could buy it things to play. And now Eros takes part in a lot of tournaments and always wins.
Once upon a time, a man found a sword in the forest. The man's name was Sein. When he took the sword, he felt it was very light. A feeling of well being you walked, and heard a voice.
The sword spoke.
- Hello Sein, my name is Spitherkane, you found me to tell you you're chosen to be the king.
Sein dropped the sword surprised. He didn't know what to do. Not everyday you're told you are going to become a king.
- Are you telling the truth?
- I've been waiting for a long time.
- Why?
- Because you're the only one able to wield a sword.
- Why?
- Do you know what that means?
- What?
- Perfect, a stupid.
- What?
- AAAGGGGG, shut up and walk, please.
- Oh - Ok.
Walking, Sein spoke with the sword.
I wasn’t in one of the best moments of my life. I had been fired from my job, where I had worked for three years. My girlfriend had dumped me and the owner of the rented house I lived in reminded me every day that I owed him the payment of the last two months, so I decided to go for a walk that night, to think about my situation and hopefully clear my mind.
It was raining, and the temperature was below zero, just like any winter day in my isolated town. After a long walk around the dark streets, only lit by the dim light of the full moon, I went back to my apartment, feeling as cold as an ice cube, with a red nose and purple lips.
As I entered my house, I went to my bedroom and put on my pyjamas. Next, I sat down on the sofa and switched on the TV. The first programme that came on was a pathetic argument between famous people, who shouted and whined at each other without even listening to what the others had to say. But I was too depressed to change the channel. In fact, I didn’t pay any attention at all to what they were saying. I could only think about how miserable my life was.
So I sat in a rock and I began to think how I could escape from there…
It was nearly midnight and the moon was almost hidden by dark clouds. I was in a place a bit unreal because there were trees all around and it was too quiet. I didn’t remember how I got there but at that moment I was worried because I had heard a weird noise as if leaves were being stomped by someone. I walked towards the noise, very slowly, because I was really scared. But the noise was a small animal, I think it was a rabbit, running through the trees.
Then I ran away quickly. I wasn’t a lucky person because I wasn’t able to escape. The reason was that the forest was very big, enormous!
This is the story of thirteen teenagers from Beatriu Fajardo High School. All of them were very different but they had something very special: friendship. Some of them often had arguments but nothing really bad had ever happened. Even so among others the friendship happened to be something more serious and in certain occasions it got to be love, but none lasted forever. Every day at school was a day of fun, a day of madness, but also... a day of work. Some of them were the ones in charge of bringing joy to the group with their madness or with their stupidities that seemed funny to everyone and others simply contributed with their laughter. One day the news that they would go on a very exciting trip soon where they would have a wonderful time came in, but nobody knew where they were going……
