Additional Examples for PD

Here are two Haiku Decks illustrating how the tool can be used for professional development.

This first example was created by Simon McKenzie, and as of this date has had 8,330 views on the Haiku Deck site. As Simon explains: "This deck, along with the Ken Robinson speech, will be a PD Presentation to a group of 70+ high school teachers. The aim will be to 'provoke' teachers to adopt a new approach to technology integration." This presentation has speaker notes accompanying many of the slides. To see these notes, view the presentation at the Haiku Deck site via this link: The New Mind Set. Speaker notes can be kept private or public, and in this case, Simon selected the public option.

This second example was created by Mindi Vandagriff, and has had 244 views on the Haiku Deck site as of now. Mindi used Haiku Deck to visually represent her take-ways from the International Society of Technology in Education conference 2013. This Deck contains speaker notes on the first side and one other one. When viewed on Haiku Deck, the notes will be visible on the side of these two slides.
