President
Busy just before the start of the school year and at the end to wrap up.
Run seven total PTA meetings, where Mr. Diveley gives a presentation and the president runs through the list of what is going on.
Attend seven PTA council meetings. Council meetings are held at the Administration building and include the district superintendent and all Presidents of the PTAs across the five schools, as well as council members, representatives and committee members.
Contribute to the monthly newsletter.
Treasurer
Receive all monies of the PTA.
Keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures.
Place all monies in a depository approved by the executive board.
Payout funds in accordance with the budget as approved by the membership and authorized by properly-signed vouchers.
Present a written financial statement at every meeting of the organization and at other times as requested by the executive board. Make a full report at the regular meeting in May.
Be responsible for the remittance of the state and national portion of the dues paid by each Member.
Be responsible for completion and filing of appropriate forms as may be required by Internal Revenue Service Regulations no later than the date established by the regulations.
Provide materials for the annual audit.
Secretary
Time commitment of 15-30 minutes per week.
Attend and take minutes at monthly PTA meetings (seven total, about one hour each).
Participate in, discuss and vote on official PTA matters.
Schedule weekly eblast (no experience required).
Import and maintain contacts for weekly ebast (no experience required).
Read and distribute emails from the Hadley general email account.
Maintain and preserve PTA records and important documents.
Vice President - Membership
Assist with maintaining the list of PTA members, including inputting new members into our database at registration time and as new members join during the year
Maintain DirectorySpot
Vice President - Volunteers
Help fill chair and volunteer positions for the various PTA committees.
Maintain contact lists.
Answer questions for volunteers.
